Dear Blue Jay Families,

We are excited to welcome the Scholastic Book Fair to Barnhart next week! To make shopping easy and convenient for your child, we highly encourage families to set up and add money to their child's digital eWallet at CPBES Book Fair Wallet This is the safest and easiest way for students to shop without worrying about carrying cash.

If your child brings cash to school, please make sure they understand that they are responsible for keeping track of their money.

💵 Important Reminder: We will NOT accept bills larger than $20 from students or adults. If you plan to make purchases at the Book Fair, please bring bills in denominations of $20 or less.

Thank you for helping us make this a fun and successful Book Fair for all of our Blue Jays! We can't wait to see our students get excited about reading! 💙📚

Good afternoon, Barnhart Families!

To help keep our classrooms clean and free of sticky spills, only water in securely sealed, spill-resistant water bottles is permitted in classrooms. Fast-food cups and beverages other than water, including juice, soda, and sports drinks, are not allowed in classrooms. Please be certain these are not coming to school with your children in the morning.

Students may enjoy other beverages during lunch, but any remaining drinks in fast-food style cups must be disposed of before leaving the cafeteria. Students are also welcome to use our drinking fountains throughout the day if they do not have a water bottle.

Thank you for helping us keep our classrooms clean and ready for learning! We appreciate your support and understanding!

Fall Fest: Fall Into Reading
We wanted to provide you with an update regarding our third graders' return from today's field trip. Unfortunately, our buses have encountered more traffic than anticipated, and our updated estimated arrival time is now 3:55 p.m.

This means that our third grade students will not return in time for regular bus dismissal. Please review the following dismissal information:

Bus Riders: Families will need to make arrangements to pick up their students from school today.

Alpha Best, Car Riders and Walkers: Students will be dismissed as soon as the field trip buses arrive. If you are already waiting in the car line for a third grader, you are welcome to park in the bus lanes while you wait.

Daycare Students: We will notify daycare vans of the delay and ask them to return to pick up students. However, we strongly encourage families to contact their daycare providers directly to make sure they are aware of the situation.

We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and understand that this unexpected delay may create challenges for your afternoon plans. Unfortunately, the buses encountered significantly more traffic than usual on their way back to school.

Thank you so much for your patience, flexibility, and understanding as we work to get all of our third graders home safely!

3rd Grade Parents:
We wanted to let you know that our third grade field trip is running behind schedule, and there is a possibility that students may not return to school before our regular bus dismissal time. All walkers, AlphaBEST students, and car riders will be dismissed as soon as they arrive back at school. We will provide an update at 3:15 p.m. with an estimated arrival time so families can plan accordingly if students will not make the busses. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to get everyone back to school safely!
