😴💙 Wake Up, Show Up! Tomorrow is Pajama Day! 💛✨
Blue Jays, roll out of bed, grab your coziest pajamas, and make sure you are at school and on time! Being on time helps students start the day feeling calm, settled, and ready to learn.
Every minute matters, and every school day is a chance to learn, grow, and shine!

Be Present, Be an Attendance Hero!
Tomorrow is Superhero Day! Blue Jays, wear your favorite superhero gear (no masks) and show us your attendance superpower by being at school and ON TIME!
Did you know? Being just 10 minutes late each day can add up to 30 hours of missed learning over a 180-day school year. Arriving late can also disrupt a child’s morning routine, causing them to feel rushed, miss important directions, or even miss breakfast.
Starting the day on time helps students feel settled, prepared, and ready to learn. Every minute matters. Every day counts. Heroes show up ready to learn!

We kick off Attendance Awareness Week tomorrow Monday, 9/21 with 'Hats Off to Attendance!' Did you know that chronic absences as early as elementary school serves as an early warning indicator for future high school drop-out rates? Our fourth graders are diving into a newly adopted Social Studies curriculum that gives students exciting opportunities to ask questions, investigate, and conduct research. Right now, students are exploring how the Eastern Woodlands environment impacted the lives of early people, including how geography, natural resources, climate, and available materials influenced the way people lived.
You can support this type of learning at home by adding nonfiction books to your child’s nightly reading. Reading nonfiction is a wonderful way to build vocabulary, background knowledge, and curiosity about the world. Students may also enjoy historical fiction, which can help bring history to life through engaging stories. Popular series such as I Survived are a great choice and can spark conversations about historical events and the people who experienced them.
Even just 20 minutes of reading each night can make a meaningful difference!
